| Howard County Department of Fire & Rescue. Delivered May 2002. This is one of four units recently delivered. The new International 4300 chassis has a DT-466 engine rated at 215hp with the new Allison 2400 Series 5 speed transmission. These units also feature air brakes and a second engine-driven AC compressor to independently power the rear Horton climate control. The Horton conversion features many custom designs as specified by Howard County. Pete Laake Jr. handled the sale for FESCO. We would like to thank the department for their work in the delivery of these vehicles. The department now boasts a total of eleven Horton ambulances purchased since 1999. |
