Company History - In 1953, Walter E. 'Ed' Laake began selling fire trucks factory-direct and the rest is history. FESCO Emergency Sales (FESCO) is now owned and operated by second and third generation emergency vehicle specialists Peter W. Laake, Sr. and Peter W. Laake, Jr. The Laake family oversees the day-to-day operations of FESCO Emergency Sales, contributing in the design, sale and service of emergency vehicles. FESCO serves counties, municipalities, volunteer fire companies & rescue squads, hospitals and private ambulance services among our many clients.

Product Line - FESCO Emergency Sales is proud to now represent five of the finest manufacturers of emergency & specialty vehicles in the marketplace today. We represent three of the most experienced and most distinguished manufacturers in Horton Emergency Vehicles, Crimson Fire, and Marion Body Works. We also represent three emerging innovators in emergency vehicle design and production: American Emergency Vehicles (AEV), FastLane Emergency Vehicles and Interfleet Specialty Vehicles.

Sales Staff - FESCO Emergency Sales boasts a sales staff of four full-time and one part-time sales representative. Combined, they provide over 80 years of experience in the design, order, delivery and service of emergency vehicles. Totally dedicated to this industry, our sales staff specializes in providing you, the customer, the knowledge required in ordering emergency vehicles. FESCO uses a team concept. Our employees work and train together to ensure that our customers receive the full benefit of everyone’s experience and expertise when designing a new piece of apparatus.

Service Department - Many "emergency vehicle dealers" have come and gone throughout the three-generation involvement that the Laake family has enjoyed in this industry. Other dealers have often represented good product lines but did not provide the quality service it takes to become a time proven leader in the industry. FESCO’s first key to longevity is providing excellent products. The second and equally important key is providing the long-term service and support required to maintain and upgrade your apparatus. FESCO employs a full-time service staff which includes a service manager, seven full-time mechanics specialized in the maintenance and repair of emergency vehicles, two part-time mechanics, and several regional service providers. Our staff is ASE and EVT certified. Additionally, we provide a staff of drivers and vehicles for the pick up and delivery of customer units in order to save you valuable time and manpower.

FESCO can provide customized programs for maintenance and service around your company’s needs. These programs can include on-site service, preventive maintenance and general or specialized repair. Our toll free number is one of the small commitments we have provided for making your service experience pleasurable. FESCO is committed to providing quality service in a timely manner. We understand the importance of keeping your emergency vehicle in service. We’ve succeeded for over 55 years by having this vision and goal.

Graphics Department - With 2 full time and 2 part time employees, FESCO now offers graphics and lettering capabilities utilizes the latest Gerber Edge2 technology. From vehicle lettering and striping to decals and shields, FESCO can design and install graphics to match your existing vehicles or design a new style for the years to come. FESCO will strive to make your design ideas a reality and make your vehicle a showpiece.

Administrative Staff – While our sales and service staff is busy meeting your needs, FESCO Emergency Sales employs two full-time administrative assistants to ensure the day-to-day performance of our company. Our administrative staff maintains the records, handles customer inquiries and processes a variety of orders and requests. Our goal is to ensure that our customer's needs are handled properly.


Facilities and Parts Department - FESCO Emergency Sales operates from our own 13,000+ square foot facility located conveniently off of Interstate 95 between Washington and Baltimore. FESCO stocks over $500,000 in specialty parts and supplies for the fire, emergency and EMS industry. This ensures we can minimize the down time associated with warranty and non-warranty repair of your apparatus. Additionally, FESCO works with a network of suppliers, so if we don’t have it in stock, we can get it quickly.
